Holster Molding Preparation Jigs, Plates and Templates
Shop holster molding preparation supplies that ready a gun for the press and mark out attachment holes once the holster has been formed. Choose from dozens of steel drilling templates and gun-specific retention plates, along with ASM™ weapon light widgets, Glock trigger and universal slide spacers, 3M and Fomaxx tape, sight channel dowels and wallet jigs.
Each retention plate is named for the gun it fits and made in steel or MDF, covering Glock models such as the 42 and 43 with a TLR6 along with the M&P Shield, Springfield Hellcat, Staccato C, FN 509 and Ruger Security 9. Split-mold steel plates are sold in pairs and set retention for molding in a vacuum press. Separate steel jigs under spacers and blocking plates form the trigger guard area, space out the slide and clear the slide release, and ASM™ molding widgets make room in the mold for a mounted weapon light.
Before pressing, cut one of the 6.0 inch wooden dowel rods to sit between the sights for a sight channel, and reach for thermoform tape to protect the gun with 3M masking or mount press foam with a Fomaxx double-sided roll. With the shell formed, steel drilling and mounting templates mark the hole layouts for Safariland ELS and paddle attachments, G-Code RTI hangers, small and large Tek-Lok, Ulticlip, FOMI clips and pancake loops, and several are adjustable at 10°, 15°, 18° or 20°. The clip and loop templates mark holes on a knife sheath just as they do on a holster.
Card wallets and credential holders have their own steel wallet jigs, with three thicknesses that set how deep the 6-card cavity forms. If a build combines a weapon light, a specific retention plate and an adjustable clip angle, send our team the details and we will go over which plate, widget and template to use together.
