Holster Mounting Assemblies and Retention Hardware
Shop holster mounting assemblies to fix Tek-Loks, Combat Loops and belt clips onto a thermoform shell, then dial in how tightly a fold-over holster grips the gun. Three slotted post assemblies by HOLSTEX® cover clip attachment and adjustable retention, joined by the Magazine Retention Device, Chicago screw 10-packs, the Tactical Mounting Assembly and a ModWing insert screw combo.
Holster makers use the slotted post assemblies for two jobs, mounting attachments and setting how firmly the shell grips. For mounting, the SPTHA by HOLSTEX® combines a black oxide slotted post, a Phillips truss head screw and an EPDM washer, sized 0.125 inch Standard or Large for .060 to .093 inch material, with 0.250 to 0.500 inch posts for thicker stacks. The Tek-Lok compatible Tactical Mounting Assembly attaches belt loops and clips with a low-profile black-coated finish and comes in .125 or .500 inch.
Retention starts with the SPTHRA, whose rubber standoff washer sits between opposing layers so that snugging the Phillips screw pulls the shell closer against a gun, magazine or flashlight. Its posts run from 0.375 to 0.625 inch as the gap grows. The SPUMA suits fold-over holsters and knife sheaths, with S, M-S, M, M-L, L and XL posts that open a wider gap at each step up. A mag holster can take the compact MRD, whose 1/8 inch hex set screw tightens or eases the draw for common magazine sizes.
Chicago Screw Assemblies fasten through #6 or #8 eyelets, and ModWing owners can restock the 8-32 flat head screw and hex nut that hold their inserts in place. If your shell's gap falls between two SPTHRA sizes, ask our holster team, and keep exploring holster making hardware as the build takes shape.
