Lightweight TEGRIS® Composite Sheet for Heavy-Duty Work
Shop TEGRIS®, a thermoplastic composite built for heavy-duty work that weighs less than traditional thermoplastics and composites. Every color is cut 8in x 12in, 1ft x 1ft, 1ft x 2ft or 2ft x 4ft, in 6 or 12 layer for Black and Coyote Brown and in 6, 8 or 12 layer for Silver/Gray.
Pressed into panels or compression molded into shapes, TEGRIS® stands up to rocks, baggage handlers, shrapnel and whatever else gets thrown at it, and it helps protect against fragment, projectile and blast threats. It is processed differently from KYDEX® thermoform sheet, so plan on pressing or compression molding it instead of heat forming it the same way.
Thickness and rigidity follow the layer count. A 6 layer sheet is the thinnest and most flexible, 12 layer is the thickest and stiffest, and Silver/Gray's 8 layer sits in between. Impact performance holds even at -40°C, the sheet resists water, and its consolidated, low-density build keeps weight down.
