DIY Thermoform Holster Kits for IWB, OWB and Hybrid Carry
Shop DIY thermoform kits for building a gun holster to carry inside the waistband on a FOMI belt clip, outside it on a paddle mount or pancake belt loops, or as a hybrid on a cowhide backer. Depending on the kit, you form it from textured HOLSTEX®, smooth KYDEX® or BOLTARON® sheet.
Inside the waistband, the 1-piece IWB kit mounts on a FOMI clip sized to your belt, and the concealment kit adds a ModWing that uses your belt to turn the grip toward your body, with inserts for a strong or mild rotation. The 1-piece OWB kit rides a paddle mount instead, and all three include an 8 x 12 inch sheet, with material, sheet color and washer color left to you.
For a head start, the DIY QuickShell™ comes pre-formed in black KYDEX® for the Glock® 42, Kahr® CM9, Ruger® SR 9/40 and other models, and its dual sweat guard gives each shell two carry orientations, such as right-hand IWB or left-hand OWB. The hybrid kit sets KYDEX® against a cowhide backer with a built-in sweat guard and mounts on RCS Overhook Struts, with the backer sized Small for smaller firearms or Medium for small to medium ones.
The two-piece Pancake Loop kit makes a pancake-style OWB holster held by a matched pair of belt loops, in KYDEX® or HOLSTEX® Basketweave or Carbon Fiber.
