Thermoform Sheath Making Kits with Belt Loops and Mounts
Shop thermoform sheath making kits by how the knife will ride, either on a DCL, IWB Softloops or Tek-Lok™ mount or on a pre-formed belt loop. Every kit packs the eyelets or rivets that bind the sheath, with KYDEX®, BOLTARON® and Killer Coyote HOLSTEX® as the sheet choices.
The Multi Design kit lets you choose the mount, shipping a large DCL Combat Loop, black IWB Softloops or a large Tek-Lok™ with its hardware. Its two black .080 inch sheets, each 4in x 8in, bind with #8-9 eyelets, and choosing Yes for Tools adds the tools needed to build the sheath. Ordering BOLTARON® in place of KYDEX® keeps the same forming process and gives you a durable sheet that stands up to impact and temperature.
Both 12in x 12in kits carry on a pre-formed loop that mounts upright or sideways on a belt up to 2 inches wide. In the CKK Belt Loop Design version, black cell/smooth KYDEX® runs from a light, flexible .060 inch for a slim sheath on a small knife to a stiff .093 or .125 inch for a big blade or hard use. E.M.T. Red and Desert Tan come in the general-use .080. That kit's loop arrives undrilled in the mounting area so it can be fitted to most designs.
For a holster or sheath with a carbon fiber look, the HOLSTEX® kit's Killer Coyote sheet shows 3K Twill texture on one side and a tactical finish on the reverse, at .080 inch thick.
