KYDEX® Sheets for Holster Making
Shop KYDEX® thermoform sheets for gun holsters that hold their molded fit, plus matching knife sheaths and carry gear. Choose from the gloss of Liquid Metal, the see-through look of Vapor, the Cordura® face of EDC Wrap®, or the matte shades of Solid Colors, in .028 through .125 gauge and 8in x 8in through 2ft x 4ft sheets.
Holster makers use KYDEX® thermoform sheet because it softens with heat, takes the shape of the gun, and sets that way as it cools into a lightweight, waterproof holster. Our KYDEX® is USA-made, and each sheet is inspected for quality and packaged by itself before it ships to you.
For a holster with some shine, Liquid Metal comes in seven metal tones, from Aluminum and Bronze to Rose-Gold and Platinum, all with a high-gloss finish. In a Vapor holster, the gun shows through the semi-translucent sheet, which comes in a warm Desert Glass or cool Frosted Glass tint. Every 1ft x 1ft EDC Wrap® sheet arrives with Cordura® cloth bonded to the KYDEX®, so the holster comes off the press with cloth on the outside. Solid Colors offers 27 shades of P1 haircell for a non-reflective holster, along with a PC-texture Black and a V103 Black.
Holster presses with forming foam and vacuum formers both work for molding, with the sheet heated to around 300°F to 375°F. Liquid Metal, Vapor, and EDC Wrap® are all .080 gauge, while Solid Colors adds thinner and thicker sheet in select colors.
