Whether you mold holsters or knife sheaths, the CKK VacuForge™ XL 24-inch press gives you a totally new take on membrane thermoplastic vacuum forming technology. This forming tool is made from high-quality materials, with a design intended for frequent daily use.

Its lid secures the high-heat membrane material with a "pinch" retention design, which ranks as the most secure and easiest to replace membrane retainer on the market. Thanks to a specially formed heat-sink board laid over the vacuum grid base design, the press can stand up to repeated, back-to-back, all-day thermoforming use.

A pre-installed heavy-duty vacuum membrane creates a seal on a raised edge circling the vacuum chamber base. The lid uses a magnetic retention design, so it can be shut and held before the initial vacuum drawdown. This press includes (1) pre-installed 1/4 inch brass ball valve fitted with a threaded nipple on the intake side, along with (1) vacuum gauge with its own 1/4 inch brass ball valve on the vacuum release side. Getting started is as easy as attaching an existing vacuum pump to the 1/4 inch intake nipple connector and powering the pump on. Drawdown of the vacuum happens smoothly and quickly.

The press is designed to use the smallest possible air volume when it applies a quick vacuum to the preheated workpiece. Its workspace-conscious footprint design pairs with built-in plumbing for plug-and-play operation. Simply connect your vacuum pump and get going.

This cutting-edge KYDEX® vacuum press, developed by CKK, has a one-piece leakproof design and an ultra-sleek look. One solid piece is precision machined to form the back, which means it won't warp over time. It is crack resistant as well. Search the whole market and you won't find quality like this!

We created the VacuForge™ 24-inch vacuum forming press with an intended application in mind, making custom gun holsters and knife sheaths from thermoformed plastics such as KYDEX®, HOLSTEX®, Boltaron®, and ABS. Its applications go on without limit, from hobbyists and cosplay to orthotics, small prototyping, and much more. Here at CKK Industries, we work to bring you the highest quality American-made solutions at an affordable price.

Material and workmanship on this product are backed by our 90-day warranty, with consumables like membranes and heat-sink boards left out.

How to Use

  1. Evenly warm your thermoplastic (KYDEX®, HOLSTEX®, Boltaron®, or leather) to 300-375°F to get the best results. The right temperature depends on the material and your oven settings.
  2. Once it reaches the desired temperature, wrap the material around the knife, gun, flashlight, or other object you want to mold. Our video tutorials can guide you through this step.
  3. Slide the preheated item, wrapped in the thermoform sheet, into the vacuum molding press. Flat-backed molding styles work in this press. Lower the lid until magnetic retention holds it closed.
  4. Start the vacuum pressure to make sure the material molds to the item. The press automatically adjusts to the pressure needed for proper molding. Wait for the material to cool and set into its final form.
  5. When the material is cool and hard, remove it from the molding press with care. Your sheath or holster is ready to be finished!

* Cases of improper use are not covered, and neither is membrane or heat-sink damage, as these are consumable parts.
