Also known as black Chicago screw assemblies, the HOLSTEX® SPTHRA (Slotted Post Truss Head Retention Assembly) is a black oxide coated slotted post assembly that adds adjustable retention to KYDEX®, HOLSTEX® or Boltaron® holsters, flashlight holders and magazine carriers. It helps close the gap between the facing layers of material in common thermoform holster designs. An EPDM rubber standoff washer sits between the layers, and tightening the included Phillips truss head screw adjusts how firmly the thermoform material grips the holstered item. Its 8-32 truss head screw is a HOLSTEX® exclusive with the thinnest edge you can get on this type of design, which keeps irritation to a minimum where the leading edge meets clothing or skin. How to pick a size
The size you pick is the slotted post length. It controls the material gap the assembly spans and how much adjustable standoff sits between the layers.
