MatchPoint USA designed the R2S Rapid Retention System as a fully integrated retention system, and the base sits at its center. This version is the Locking Base. It adds level-2 retention to any item and lets you draw your equipment with unmatched speed. The locking base also comes with three different spring strengths, so you can pick how much release retention you want. Its #8-32 mounting holes work with all MatchPoint USA attachments. The locking base works only with an R2S Cleat (sold separately).
How it works
Pressing down on the R2S release handle pulls the R2S Latch back against the tension spring you chose, which unlocks the R2S Cleat attached to whatever you are carrying.
