Forming a laser or light holster calls for a prop that already carries the accessory. The choices are the Shield with Crimson Trace Laserguard, the Shield 45 M2 with C.T. Red Laser, the Bodyguard .380 with laser and the M&P 9/40 4.25in with TLR-1. The M&P in 5.7x28mm replica includes its thumb safety. The carrier side is covered by magazine replicas of the M&P 45, M&P 40 and Bodyguard.

For M&P work, pick the 9/40 4.25in in three backstrap sizes, the 9/40 Compact, or the 4.5-inch M&P 45 and its Compact. In M2.0 trim the M&P 45 comes in 4-inch and 4.6-inch lengths, and the M&P9 in 3.6-inch, 4.25-inch and 5-inch lengths plus a 4-inch Compact. Shield choices run from the base model and Shield 45 up through the M2.0 and EZ in 9mm, .45 and .380, and one Shield replica comes fitted with an extended grip magazine. The J Frame (2in), Model 60 (3in), K Frame (4in) and Model 686 (4in) are listed by barrel length next to the M&P Bodyguard .380 and Bodyguard 38 Special Revolver. Each of the four 9/40 4.25in versions, the 9/40 Compact and the 4.5-inch M&P 45 comes with a dowel, 6.0 by 0.187 inches, for shaping the sight channel.
