Carbon Fiber HOLSTEX® Sheet for Gun Holsters
Shop carbon fiber HOLSTEX® to give a gun holster the look of real carbon fiber, with a 3K twill pattern on the face of the sheet. Holster makers get 17 Tactical-backed colors plus a smooth-backed Armor Black, with four gauges from .060 to .125 across the range and five sheet sizes topping out at 2ft x 4ft.
Because the 3D weave keeps its definition through heating, forming and bending, a holster pressed around the pistol comes out with sharp twill detail, free of distortion or fading. The same finish carries over to knife sheaths, armor components and airsoft gear. Beyond Armor Black, you can go with quieter shades like Olive Drab, Desert Tan and Police Blue or louder ones like Blood Red, EMT Red and Zombie Green.
In the shop, carbon fiber HOLSTEX® handles much like KYDEX® and BOLTARON®, forming between 300°F and 375°F in a press or a vacuum setup, so it fits right into the way you already build holsters. Cut the sheet a little oversized and peel away the surface protection mask, then heat it and form the warm sheet to the gun in your foam press. After the sheet cools, the holster is strong, light and ready to trim and finish. Each of these steps is explained in more detail in the instructions that come with your order.
Our HOLSTEX® holster sheet page covers the rest of the range when you want a different texture. If you are unsure which gauge suits a holster design, or you have a special project in mind, write to us.
