The weave on a finished holster stays as crisp as it was on the flat sheet, since the 3D texture is raised on the surface instead of printed and keeps its detail through forming. That gives you the traditional basketweave of leather gear on a holster that weighs little, stays tough and stands up to scratches and fading.
Heat the sheet until it is soft enough to close around the gun in forming foam or a press. Left to cool, the holster holds its shape with clean, dependable results.
