Two Ways to Build a 1911A1 Holster for Auto-Ordnance®
Shop here to sew your own Thumb Break or Mini Slide holster for the Auto-Ordnance® 1911A1 (5.00in) from 8-9 oz cowhide that arrives pre-cut in a right-hand pattern. Both Espresso and Black leather are offered on this USA-made kit.
Of the two, the Mini Slide makes the smaller build, a compact slide for the belt. The Thumb Break runs a strap over the 1911A1 that snaps closed and opens when your thumb pushes it on the draw.
The kit includes sandpaper, waxed thread, eyelets, threading needles, mounting hardware, a 6-inch burnishing tool and pre-cut leather holster panels sized to the 5.00-inch barrel. Once you have stitched the seams, finished the edges and fitted the eyelets, the holster is ready for your belt.
