Vibra-Tite® VC-3 Threadmate is a distinctive flexible threadlocking compound for jobs where you need fasteners to stay put and still be adjustable later. VC-3 uses a resilient resin-based formula that stays pliable after it dries, so fasteners can be removed, adjusted and reused several times.
It comes in several sizes and forms a tough, vibration-resistant coating that helps keep screws and bolts from loosening while guarding threads against galling, stripping and corrosion. That makes it an excellent choice for knife makers, sheath builders, holster craftsmen, gunsmiths and precision fabricators working on assemblies that may need service or fine-tuning later.
VC-3 is ideal for securing knife hardware, pivots, set screws, mounting hardware and other threaded parts where you do not want a permanent lock. The flexible coating handles temperature changes, resists most solvents and gives moderate engagement torque while still letting you remove fasteners with standard hand tools. Fasteners treated with VC-3 can usually be reused up to five times without damaging the threads.
