It pulls out the particles that wedge themselves between the abrasive grains, which would eventually leave the belt with a dull cut. As a rubber eraser, it lifts metal and wood particles off the belt and extends the life of a sanding belt by 30 - 50%. It is one of the best belt maintenance products you can use, giving you the most bang for your buck when it comes to extending the life of your abrasive sanding belts.
The eraser works on ceramic, zirconia and aluminum oxide sanding belts, staying compatible with all three materials and extending the life of each. It clears dust buildup from metals such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum, as well as from various nonmetal products including G10, plastics, woods (all types) and many others. If you want a ceramic, zirconia or aluminum oxide sanding belt to last longer, a rubber eraser is the best way to do it.
