Choosing Your Size:
Eyelet sizes are written as diameter-length (for example, #6-9). The first number is the hole diameter: #6 is 3/16 inch and #8 is 1/4 inch. The second number is the barrel length, which sets how thick a two-layer material stack the eyelet can flare over:
- 6 = two layers of about .060 inch
- 8 = two layers of about .080 inch
- 9 = two layers of about .093 inch (.080 to .093)
- 12 = two layers of about .125 inch
