BOLTARON® is a value-priced thermoform sheet for holsters and knife sheaths, with a haircell texture on the outside and a smooth back on the inside.
It was made as a dependable alternative to KYDEX® and HOLSTEX®, and holster and sheath makers use it widely in press and vacuum forming for gun holsters, knife sheaths, and other molded gear. It forms consistently and turns out durable, impact-resistant parts, and its clean, functional surface works for both utility builds and finished pieces.
BOLTARON® forms at 290°F to 350°F and behaves much like other thermoform sheets, so it slots easily into most holster and sheath making setups. For makers who want consistent results at a lower material cost, it is a practical choice.
Gunmetal Gray is a dark, metallic-toned gray. It comes in .080 and .093 gauge, in sizes from 8in x 8in up to 2ft x 4ft, and we can cut sheet down to size for you. BOLTARON® sheet is made in the USA. Select your gauge and size from the options above.
