Choosing Your Layers:
The layer count sets the sheet thickness and rigidity. Choose 6 Layer (0.030 inch) for the thinnest, most flexible sheet, 8 Layer (0.040 inch) for a medium build, or 12 Layer (0.060 inch) for the thickest, stiffest, most protective sheet.

You waste less material, and you’re not paying to ship a full sheet.
